What's the optimal height to hang a flat screen TV? It's above an entertainment unit/fireplace insert.

In my opinion, it's the angle between your head and the screen that's more important than the height. If you are sat further away the screen can be higher without you craning your neck. We ended up putting the TV on the wall so that the bottom of the TV was at about eye level when sitting down. This was the maximum height recommended somewhere else. This only left about 4 inches between the top of the entertainment unit and the bottom of the TV, but it doesn't seem to hurt my neck when watching a movie. |
